Parrot Island Sanctuary provides a loving
home for birds of the Parrot family that
became unwanted, abused or otherwise homeless. The sanctuary and
gift shop are open
all year round,
the grounds contain picnic areas
and paddocks for rescued
miniature horses and ponies.

Did you know that parrots
will only love one person
in the family and
will be
mean and peck at the rest of
the family, this is why they do not
make good
family pets. These
birds require a great deal of both
physical and emotional attention
to remain healthy. Parrots can
live from 50 to 100 plus years.
The birds really enjoy interacting
with visitors.
To learn more interesting
facts about the parrots be sure
to go and visit the birds.
An excellent guided tour!
Highly recommended.
